IT Program Manager .

 

 Location:  Naval Reactors HQ (Washington Navy Yard, DC) — routine telework may be approved

 

  Type:  Full-time, on-site, 2,080 hrs/year

 Pay (hourly, W-2):  $75.63-$80.63

 

Summary

Lead day-to-day delivery for the 08Y Enterprise Applications program. You'll run Agile planning and execution, partner with product managers and stakeholders, manage risk, and ensure on-time, high-quality releases that support NR's mission.

 

What you'll do

• Own sprint planning, tracking, and delivery across multiple application teams
• Facilitate ceremonies (planning, stand-ups, reviews/demos, retros) and PI planning
• Prioritize and manage the product backlog with product managers and stakeholders
• Document, track, and escalate risks and dependencies to leadership
• Drive continuous improvement of Agile policies, directives, and desktop procedures
• Coordinate release readiness (scope, testing, documentation, approvals)

 

Minimum qualifications

• 3+ years in program management or business analysis  or a four-year degree in a relevant field
• Proven Agile/Scrum leadership delivering software increments on schedule
• Strong stakeholder communication and risk/issue management abilities

 

Nice to have

• Experience in federal/DOE/NR or other highly regulated environments
• Familiarity with Jira or Azure DevOps (boards, dashboards, reporting)
• Certifications: PMP, PMI-ACP, SAFe, or ScrumMaster

 

Work hours & tools

• Core hours Monday-Friday within  6:00 AM-6:00 PM ET  (8 paid hours + 1 unpaid personal hour)
• Government-furnished equipment (GFE) and required system/network access provided

 

Clearance & compliance

• Candidates must be eligible for and able to maintain a DOE
